Yesterday (Saturday), we welcomed a guest visiting Kyoto from India, here to see her son who is currently studying at Kyoto University.

During her stay, she experienced lower back pain and even purchased a pelvic support belt at a Japanese pharmacy. Impressively, she brought her MRI images from India, which clearly showed lumbar spondylolisthesis (L3–L5)—a valuable reference for our assessment.

Although she practices yoga three times a week and has great flexibility, we found tightness in the outer hip fascia caused by sitting cross-legged and some joint stiffness.

We performed a thorough myofascial release, targeted stretching, and precise chiropractic adjustments. After the session, we asked her to try the posture that normally caused pain. She happily reported,

“My lower back feels so much better!”

A slight numbness in the hip remained, but she felt significant relief and left with a big smile.

For international travelers, bringing previous MRI results can be extremely helpful for a safe and effective chiropractic experience.

We continue to provide a trustworthy environment where visitors from around the world can receive expert chiropractic care during their trip to Kyoto.
