On a slightly chilly morning in October, I received a phone call from someone who wished to book a Matcha Experience that very afternoon at 3 p.m.
The guest turned out to be a Brazilian chef ā a man with the presence and passion of Brazilās Gordon Ramsay.
A well-known culinary influencer with over 2,700 followers on Instagram, he visited our Kyoto Matcha Experience that day.
When I looked at his Instagram, every dish he posted looked absolutely delicious ā full of color, texture, and love for food.
To me, Gordon Ramsay isnāt the āangry chefā we often see on TV.
My image of him is someone who faces food and cooking tools with sincerity,
whose smile when tasting something truly good reflects his heart.
A person who is kind to others yet strict with himself ā thatās what I call a true professional.
This guest embodied exactly that spirit.
Every word he spoke carried warmth and sincerity.
His wife, a well-known dermatologist, had beautifully clear, baby-soft skin ā
a natural, elegant beauty that left a lasting impression on me.
The photos they took looked like something straight out of a magazine.
I actually thought, āIs this really my Kyoto Matcha Experience?ā
When I saw the Instagram Story they posted right after, it was so beautiful
that for a moment I thought it was a professional advertisement for matcha!
I felt both happy and shy at the same time.
Watching guests like them ā people who pour passion into both their work and their creative expression ā
made me realize something important again:
> True influence isnāt about the number of followers ā itās about oneās daily attitude and authenticity.
I was deeply inspired and grateful for the encounter. š
